About

Greg Lahti is a figurative artist based in Little Rock, Arkansas, whose work reflects a lifelong fascination with character, story, and mood. Drawing from years spent behind the scenes in theater—designing, building, and painting sets—Lahti brings a dramatic, almost cinematic quality to his paintings.

Primarily self-taught, Lahti’s passion for painting is fueled by a love of art and art history, as well as a commitment to constant experimentation.

Quiet moments, surreal tableaux, and bursts of theatrical spectacle often occupy the same canvas in Lahti’s work. Costumed, contemplative, defiant, or caught off guard, his figures inhabit worlds that slip between eras—spaces charged with saturated color, mystery, abstraction, and dramatic possibility.

Through each piece, Lahti invites viewers to pause, look closer, and discover an untold story.
